I read this whole series... Taltos is MUCH weirder then the one you are reading now. I may reread these now I see you are reading them.
I read Taltos on acident a couple years ago, and I read another of Anne Rice's that includes both the vampires and the Mayfairs. But Anne Rice just seems to be a kind of a weird person.
